 Judy Gaman is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Dallas. Through the NAHB she has earned a designation of CAPS (Certified Age in Place Specialist). She also studied interior decorating at the Decorator Training Institute under the direction of Ron Renner, ASID, CID, NCIDQ, one of the first interior designers to ever be licensed. After the completion of study, Judy passed the CID exam to become a Certified Interior Decorator.
Judy has spent years in the medical field. With a health sciences education from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through ACRP, Judy set out to apply her knowledge of aesthetics as they relate to the physiological changes in the human body. Understanding the physiological and psychological changes that the human body experiences when placed in different atmospheres, makes Judy Gaman a “must have” for both commercial and residential projects.
Judy believes that the home should be a warm and inviting place for the whole family, but that rooms should be designed with function in mind. For example, the master suite should be a romantic get-away or retreat from the stressors of everyday life. Just as comfort and mood are important things to remember when designing a living space that will be used for entertaining; otherwise, the guests will not be inclined to stay.
